Overview

Mochi ("we", "our", or "the app") is an intermittent fasting app designed for women who want to sync their fasting schedule with their menstrual cycle. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data Storage

All personal data you enter into Mochi is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers, databases, or cloud storage. Your data never leaves your device except as described below.

Data We Collect

The following data is created and stored locally on your device:

• Cycle information: Last period date, cycle length, and calculated cycle phases. This data is stored on-device only using Apple's SwiftData framework.
• Fasting sessions: Start time, end time, duration, and body status phases reached. Stored on-device only.
• Mood and energy logs: Optional mood and energy entries you choose to record. Stored on-device only.
• Preferences: Your app settings, notification preferences, and onboarding choices. Stored on-device only.

Subscriptions

Mochi uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes your subscription status through Apple's App Store. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase data and device identifiers for subscription management purposes. For details, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Analytics

We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how people move through the app's onboarding and paywall, so we can improve conversion and flow. PostHog receives only:

• Screen names you view (e.g. "goal", "paywall")
• Anonymous button events (e.g. "trial started")
• Device type and app version

PostHog never receives your cycle data, fasting history, weight, mood, chat messages, or any personal health information. All health data stays on your device (and in your iCloud if you have it enabled).

Session replay is disabled. No screen recording ever.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or account information.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not use advertising SDKs or sell your data.
• We do not share your health or cycle data with any third party.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete all your data at any time by deleting the Mochi app from your device. There is no server-side data to request deletion of.

Children's Privacy

Mochi is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
